Sequencing control voltage bass was a pleasure for those two Italian similar aficionados.Instead of looping they loved to hand sculpt single sounds for true analogical feeling.
The rhythm is constantly hand tweaked, the hihat decay is melting the groove, giving that tech-house style while the breakdown and the deep basses are more old school influenced. The restart is pure madness, a “track of the night“ as Hernan Cattaneo commented playing it, loud.

Jerome Sidenham Remix: N.Y. deep house flagship creates a non stop banging mix of Clitter. Oh yes, groove is granted, where madness hits the original bass twisting the feeling up.
Cutting a loop is already considered an art and here you can hear why, reversing, enveloping, fixing delay times then becomes pleasure!
The upcoming love of Jerome for more techno rooted sounds ended up in a true underground mix, for late night lovers.

Quando la routine quotidiana è senza sapore, che c’è di meglio di un party Full Flava??
Sapore di campagna e d’olio extra vergine d’oliva, tanto per cominciare. A farcelo gustare sarà Paul Nazca (Scadium / BPitch Control / Boxer), artista dal carattere insolito. Due sono i sapori che lo contraddistinguono, quello dell’olio extra vergine d’oliva, che lui stesso produce nella campagna del sud della Francia dove vive, e quello delle macchine analogiche, le uniche che usa per le sue produzioni dal carattere tipicamente urbano. Profumo d’incenso e atmosfere psichedeliche sono invece i sapori che ci regaleranno i Commodity Place. Il duo, formato da Massimo Loretucci e Riccardo Frosoni, nato dall’unione tra l’ambient elettronica e il progressive rock psichedelico, ci presenterà un live fresco ed emozionante, che partirà da atmosfere alla Pink Floyd fino ad arrivare all’elettronica IDM più raffinata. Ma anche l’occhio vuole la sua parte!! Non vi preoccupate, ci penseranno i Quiet Ensemble, 2 artisti visivi geniali e innovativi, che con la loro installazione “Wallpaper”, rivisitata per questo terzo appuntamento Full Flava, daranno vita alle pareti del Lanificio 159.

PAUL NAZCA
(Scadium / BPitch Control / Boxer)

Paul è un dj dal carattere insolito. Un DJ che vive per scelta in una zona rurale della Francia del sud, in un mulino circondato da ulivi. Un artista che produce olio d’oliva con suo fratello, ma le cui produzioni techno sono decisamente “urbane”. Sin dal suo primo LP nel 2000 (Mouvement), le sue release ottengono sempre un gran successo e sono regolarmente suonate dai più grandi deejays, come Laurent Garnier o Ellen Allien per citarne alcuni.
Unitosi ad André della Virtual Age, una band famosa nella Francia del sud, fonda la Scandium Records. Non c’è voluto molto tempo affinchè la nuova etichetta venisse supportata da Laurent Garnier, Funk D’Void, The Hacker, Technasia, Angel Molina… Con artisti come Paul Nazca, Ultracolor (André), Southsoniks o Bastien Grine, la Scandium mostra un suono fresco e dinamico. Insieme alle label Ozono (Kiko) e Goodlife (The hacker, Oxia), comincia la rinascita della techno francese.
Nel 2004 e in 2005, Paul rallenta con le produzioni. Forse un periodo troppo lungo… Ma torna nel 2006. Con la Scandium innanzitutto: con André, lancia the Picture of Now mixed CD series. Le prime uscite vengono compilate da Delon & Dalcan (nuovo progetto di André, su boxer Recordings), Oxia e Marc Romboy, pioniere della scena techno belga. Sempre nel 2006, Paul pubblica tre killer track di fila. “Ranran” su FU!…Fcom, “Scandale” su Boxer e “Nice to be here” su BPitch Control. Qualunque sia l’etichetta o la release, Paul ci mette il suo stile personale, fatto di dolci e ipnotiche melodie. Discreto, tenace e onesto, in questi ultimi anni e grazie alle sue produzioni, realizzate solo con macchine analogiche, Paul si è dimostrato uno dei nomi da tenere sott’occhio nella musica indie ed elettronica. I prossimi mesi lo vedranno di nuovo protagonista della Scadium e di altre importanti label internazionali.

Commodity Place (Còclea Music Ltd.)

Dietro il nome di Commodity Place si celano due musicisti romani, Massimiliano Loretucci e Riccardo Frosoni. Due esperienze se volete distanti, da un lato (M. Loretucci) l’elettronica vissuta in chiave ambient e non solo, dall’altro (R. Frosoni) un suono psichedelico proveniente dall’eredità progressive degli anni ’70. Caratteristiche che hanno trovato un magico punto d’incontro, fondendosi in un equilibrio melodico e ritmico.
Musicisti del calibro di Carl Craig, Francois Kevorkian, John Daly, Woolfy, Ben Wijay, per citarne alcuni, gli hanno riservato apprezzamenti per lo stile unico e raffinato di questo giovane duo, mentre la stampa inglese non ha usato mezzi termini definendo le loro produzioni come dei capolavori.
All’attivo tre uscite in vinile su Còclea Music LTD, nuova etichetta romana che ha fatto della ricerca di sonorità particolari il suo marchio di fabbrica.
La prima è composta da 2 tracce. Not Ordinary day, una jam tra la psichedelia dei primi Pink Floyd e dei Tangerine Dream e la musica elettronica IDM più raffinata, è un viaggio cosmico tra sonorità echeggianti di chitarra e arpeggi di synth nelle quali abbandonarsi. Deep single light, che fa il verso all’indie dance piu ricercata, è stato uno dei dischi piu suonati al Red Zone Club di Perugia da dj del calibro di Ricky L e Sauro Cosimetti.
Nel secondo EP i Commodity Place, mantengono nella traccia Isn’t (live version) un legame con la prima uscita, mentre con Snail, che è stata definita da Joel Martin dei Quiet Village “Super sophisticated dark late night music” e che da il nome al disco, deviano verso le sonorità techno piu scure. Chiude “Walking Lost in to the Fog”, omaggio all’ambient alla Brian Eno.
La terza uscita su Còclea è Solid Stone, che a differenza delle prime due, è stata composta dal duo appositamente per il dance floor piu estremo.
Di recente i Commodity Place si sono concentrati sulla performance dal vivo, quanto di più fresco ed emozionante si possa pretendere da un live elettronico.
